Interested in coming to Romania

So my names Tariq I’m 38 from New York City. Right now I’m working as a truck driver but for the past year and a half I have been thinking about traveling to another country and staying there for an extended period of time. I know both of my friends lived in Eastern Europe for sometime and I’m curious about the country Romania. What is the cost of living compared to the United States and how long as an American would I be allowed to stay on a tourist visa for? I have a decent savings as well as certifications to teach English online and for social media marketing so money won’t be an issue I’m mainly curious about what I will expect when I arrive
