I'd like to introduce myself; I am British and now live in Russia
I've been living just outside Moscow in the Oblast as they call it. Why did I come here? Because I met someone from Russia and got married, and as a result I now have a 22 month old son and a 10 year old stepson. We make our living by teaching groups of children in a small classroom within a state school, and are considering of perhaps establishing a language centre in TEFL in the future.
I have experienced the Russian red-tape as a foreigner in Russia, going through the system of personal invitation visa and returning to UK to renew it, up to applying for temporary residency visa. I am now a temporary resident and will soon be applying for permanent residency. I have also registered for an entrepreneur's license.
Hopefully I can share my experience with others who are considering coming to Russia either for a visit, to work or do business in Russia.
I would also like to communicate with other expats who are also living in Russia
