where to live in scotland...

Hi, I'm Irish and myself and my husband and 2 year old daughter are planning to move to Scotland. We're looking for a queit area in the countryside 20 miles or so outside Edinburgh. Can anyone suggest a nice town or village? Also, if they're are any irish people reading this that have moved, can you give us any tips on moving over as regards removal companies etc.
