I am a highly motivated 23 year old who is looking for a job in the non profit sector in Cape Town. Ideally I am hoping to move to Cape Town, between May and September next year.
I have an academic background in International Relations and I have visited Cape Town twice before, once for an internship and also to do research for my MA thesis. Having visited South Africa before I have developed a passion for development in the country.
Ideally, I would be looking for a position as a corporate fundraiser, but I would be open to any other positions which would provide scope for career progression. I am particularly interested in the areas of crime prevention and HIV/AIDS.
Has anyone had any experience getting into
these sectors ? How did you go about getting your position ?
Does anyone know of any organisations I could approach ? Many of the ones I have looked at don't have any positions advertised on their websites ?
How easy would it be to getting a working visa?
