where in costa blanca???? HELP!!!!!!

Hello all, me, my husband and my 2 year old daughter are currently in the process of selling our uk home to move to mainland spain. we have had a few trips to the costa blanca area (not inspection trips tho!) and we found a lovely area called villa martin near torrevieja. we liked the area but we have heard that it is really bad for crime around the urbanisations. im really unsure of what to do and what area to look into next. im thinking of renting for a few months in a few different places until we are happy with that area. i dont want to buy a house and find that the area isnt what we first thought. i would love to hear from any of you with recommendations of where to look next as we are needing to go over very soon. thanks all. love kelly.xx
