Questions about moving to Spain

I am an American who will be working for an American company. This company wants me to live in Europe and one of the places i am looking into is Spain. For wor I will be traveling about 200+ days a year, how does this affect my tax status in Spain or what is the % of taxes for my income (60K Euros)?

I will need to be near an Airport, what would be a good area in Madrid to begin looking for a flat/house?
