Parent's resources - Madrid area

Hello,

I am the mother of three young children (ages 5, 2, and 7 months) and we will move to Spain in a few months.

I need to learn more about the Spanish school system and find some good schools in Madrid. My kids speak Spanish... are private schools the way to go?

Any advice or links to parents' forums, groups, etc would be greatly appreciated.
