Hola todos! It is my dream to move to Spain and settle there (ideally Barcelona, but I'm also open to Madrid as a start). I am fluent in Spanish (I have a BA in it from the US as well) and Italian and speak Portuguese and French at the intermediate level with a good understanding of Modern Greek. I am in the final year of my International MBA and would like to move to Spain once I graduate. I will have 4 years of very strong professional work experience at a global financial services company by the time I graduate in the summer of 2013. I am also a dual US/Italian citizen so a work permit/visa is not an issue for me in Europe. I know that Spain's economy has seen better days, but does anyone have any advice on how to go about finding a job there from so far away? I feel that I am now qualified and by the time I graduate I'll be very qualified for employment, but it would be a lot less nerve-wracking to have a job in place before leaving. I would like to continue working in the professional/corporate environment. I have resumes in English, Spanish and Italian (Spanish and Italian need updating) and have had a lot of experience traveling to Europe, but it is time for me to live there. Because I figure it will be very difficult to get a job prior to leaving, I have started to look into another Master's degree at a university in Madrid or Barcelona as a sort of "guaranteed" way of getting myself there, but if I could go the route of straight employment from the beginning, I would prefer that (the process for getting my US academic credentials certified as equivalent appears to be a big headache).
So any advice? Thoughts? Comments? Ideas?? I'm desperate to make this happen!
Gracias de antemano!!
