In preparing for our move from the USA to Spain from September 2017 to August 2018, I am finding that every Spain health insurance program restricts access for many non-emergency health care services for anywhere from 3 -10 months. For example, if one of us gets hit by a car two weeks after arrival and are in a hospital recovering for 6 weeks, we are being told by insurers that we would have to pay out of pocket for all those medical services. Surely that can't be true!!
