Retire in Spain an option?

I'm already retired and my wife will be doing so shortly. We've lived in Mexico for the past 23 years. I'm native British and my wife is Mexican, but has dual UK/Mexican nationality and passports for both countries. I'm a permanent resident in Mexico. I speak Spanish as well as English.
My question is, if it's viable for us to consider moving to Spain?
