Capital Gain taxes

My husband and I are planing to move to Spain in Mayo of 2020 with a NL visa.
We'll be selling our house before we go and because we've live in it for more than 3 years we don't have to pay capital gain here in the US.
What we don't know is how this sale is going to affect our taxes in Spain.
I contacted an accountant in Spain who said that if we are 65 or older we wouldn't have to pays taxes if the house was in Spain but that the law doesn't specify about or case that the house is in the US.
My husband will be over 65 but I will not.
Have any of you gone through this situation and have an advise for me?
I'll greatly appreciate it.
