Hello, I am an American and University student. I had a Renault tow ball installed in France on my Clio Intense. ITV made me remove the arm and the ball, which I did. Now they want me to remove the little saddle (which attaches to the arm and ball) under the car, but the saddle does not interfere with the license plate, lights, or the safe operation of the car. Refusal to show me any laws that require me to remove the license plate from under the car. I think this is beyond the scope of the tow ball law which I understand does not allow an arm and a ball to stick out of the bumper. I have fulfilled. Looking for English speaking Mechanic in Granada Spain who can you provide me with the proper documentation that would allow my car to pass the ITV inspection and still leave the saddle under the car. It cost a lot to get the saddle installed, and removing it will damage the car and strip the bolts that now keep it secure.
