We've looked at real estate in San Sebastian. None of us are able to live there full time. The real estate agent doesn't seem to know too much and has been a bit dishonest about something.

We are thinking about investing in an apartment to be used by us maybe a couple of months out of the year, USA tax ramifications, health insurance, etc. We would need to supplement the cost by getting rent as least part of the time we're not in town. I don't love playing the devil's advocate, but my daughter needs to live in Los Angeles and they rent there. I get concerned that buying in Spain might be a questionable move, since it will be the only real estate investment they have.
