I am new to EE and would greatly appreaciate some guidance. I have been offered a very exciting opportunity to work in Sri Lanka for 6 months and I am desperate to say 'yes!' but need to work out if I can afford the cost of living. I have been offered Rs60,000/month towards expenses but am struggling to work out how far this goes.
I will be working in Ragama, but would ideally like to live in Colombo. I would need to be able to afford somewhere comfortable to live (either a 1 bed appartment or a room in a shared place) in a safe part of town, and also travel too and from work each day. I would like to be able to eat out once or twice a week, travel to the beaches at the weekends etc.
Could anybody help me work out roughly how much I would need to supplement my funds each month?
