Sri Lankan Penpal

Hi all,

will be very grateful if you can share your thouhts with me re the following situation (sorry in advance for the huge text):

About a year ago i was in Sri Lanka and when i came back home i decided to find some penpals from there to learn more about culture and so on.

So one day on a dating site i saw profile of one sri lankan guy and he looked very similar like one my friend from college. I visited his profile and saw that he has profession in the sphere i learned for in college.

I didnt write him anithing, but he saw that i visited his profile and wrote to me very politely smth like that: Hi, Thank you for visiting my profile, if you dont mind we could talk.

So we started texting and he found out to be very interesting person. In a week or so we talked by skype... What i was confused about that he was without t-shirt.. )) i thouht oh God, i see, this guy has no respect to me at all... But i didn't show it and talked a little. But this didn't go from my head. So gradually i wrote less, he started asking what's wrong, and i explained as politely as i could what embarassed me so much.

He told me that's his way he is at home and seemed to be very offended, i texted sometimes after that hi, how are you, he always replied by 1-2 words and showed he didnt want to talk.

I thouhght, ok, fine, lets stop here. After a month or so he wrote me hi how are u, that he missed me. we talked a little. Then i went to vacation for 2 weeks, and when i came back we continued texting.

He told me that he was impressed by my behaviour, he thinks that i'm very moral and so on, and then he texted smth like that: why not to come down to sri lanka and setlle here - he wrote it to me, and he told that if we like each other he wants to marry me......

I travelled a lot so i know how easy for some hot asian guys to say i love you or lets get married, so i replied accordingly. But he continued to tell me this, once i told him - if you want to communicate, leave this subject or our friendship will be over - smth like that.

Oh yes, he even checked our horoscopes and told me that we match a lot (i checked it also and it's true)

He seemed to understand and we continues texting regularly. Once he started again that he loves me, needs me and so on, and i decided to stop this communication. We didnt text about a month or so, once he texted to my mom on fb (he added her earlier) - how are things, how am i, he called her aunty!! )) I laughed a lot when mom told me he that he texted with her.

So since then we are texting almost every day. In a month i will go to sri lanka again and he wants to see me there, i think if we meet in public place in a day time it's ok?

I wrote all this just to ask - can this behaviour be normal or he's a freak?

Because we can talk on any topic, he feels my emotions even better that i am, when i had difficult times he supported me very much. We are very clode friends now actually.

But how can he be so unthinking and say that he loves a person he never met?

Sorry for this enormous text, i just tried to explain everything in details, if you could advice i'll be happy.

Btw, i'm in my late 20 and he's in his early 30 (but behaves like a child)
