I am an Australian rugby player (and policeman) and currently in talks with the Spartacus Rugby Club in Gothenburg about playing for them this year. As the club is only an amateur club, like all rugby clubs in Sweden, they do not pay their players. As such I need to secure full time (or at least part time) work before I commit to playing and relocating. I have a wife and 2 kids (13yrs and 4yrs by the time we arrive) and do not want to just arrive and then hope I can find a job that will support us. We would be looking at moving ASAP if it all worked out.
I need to find out about suitable schools, what areas we should consider living in and the most important thing..finding a good job. My wife is English so we can live and work there under the EU rules.
I welcome any advice and suggestions any of you have.
