Working in Geneva

In a few months I will be moving to Geneva, with my partner who is being transferred. His company has organised a B Permit for me, however I am not allowed to work. I have heard that it is fairly to extremely difficult to find a job out there. I am a British/South African who studied and am working in marketing, I have up to 3 years experience in the leisure industry. I would like to work in marketing however working at all is more important at this stage. Would anyone have some tips or insight with regards to this?
