Cost of living in Switzerland

Hi everyone,
I will be in an assignment for 1 year in Lausanne and I would like to know about the cost of living. I will receive a per diem of around CHF 2,850 per month for food and other stuff (an apartment and the related costs are covered by the company). I will be there with my wife and my one year old child.
Any advice is welcome!
