Banking Fees

I wish to set up a brokerage account to purchase some shares in Swiss companies. My experience to date is that cantonal banks do not offer investment services (and in many cases won't deal with US citizens). The larger retail banks (UBS, Credit Suisse) and private banks (Pictet, Vontobel) do offer these services, but at very high fees: 1% or more of assets under management.

Has anyone found a bank that offers investment services, accepts US clients, and offers more reasonable fees? Thx
