Moving to Ko Lanta

I'm moving to Ko Lanta with my 2.5 year old son in March for 6-12 months. I have a few questions. Is there a local expat group? How do I find reasonably priced accommodation? Does anyone have experience of the international school there? Any other tips for arriving and settling in? Would be lovely to hear from you. Thanks
