Hello!
Does anyone know if the United States "Medicare Part A" covers hospital stays in Thailand? Long story short, my wife's Auntie is married to an American who has been in hospital for several days, unable to talk or communicate in any significant way and has shared next to nothing as far as his finances with anyone beyond the family finding his Social Security card. Now, his bills are piling up exponentially...
It has nothing to do with the covid hysteria but it might as well. I don't know the guy very well but he is 71 and has Medicare Part A. The thought of an international call lasting several hours on hold via the SSI system in the States is daunting and pointless so I thought I'd start here.
Please, if you've any insight you could share it would be greatly appreciated.
