Residence Permit

Hello.

I'm spanish and I'm planing to move to The Netherlands, Rotterdam, in a few months.

There is no problem with me, as I am an E.U. citizen, but I'd like to take my girlfriend with me, who is from Paraguay.

At first, she is not going to work, she will go to an english school, cause her english is not very good, and I will have enough income for the two of us.

How hard would be to get the residence permit for her?

If it's going to be very hard or take a lot of time, how dangerous would it be if she stays with me without the residence permission?. She will get the spanish nationality in a year, so it would only be for a year.

I've heard that in holland is very unusual that a police asks you for your documents and even you are not obligated to show your passport to them if you are not suspicious of a crime. Is that true?

It sounds strange to me, cause in Spain, they usually ask you for your documents even if you are calmly walking in the street and you are obligated to show it.

Cheers and thank you for your help.
