Meeting friends and activities in Hague to engage in community

Hi my wife and i have recently moved from HK to Hague for birth of our grandchild. We are both not working at present and are looking to take some time out for now to enjoy our new life here, learn the language and explore the country. I am English /Australian and my wife is Danish. I would be interested to hear about other experiences in meeting people and getting most out of life in Hague / Holland. Thanks
