Do I need a work Visa?

I currently live in the UK and my wife is waiting for her Trinidad passport to arrive (By descent as her mum was born in Trini) We plan to move to T&T
I have just sent off my application for residency forms to the trinidad Embassy. Once I have residence status do I still need a work permit to live and work in Trinidad?
