I am a single woman from the US. I am totally in love with Istanbul and I am making a trip soon to look at apartments to buy. I have done quite a bit of research and I have narrowed down on where I want to buy. I just want to ask the Forum about what life will be like for a single woman living in Istanbul. Will I feel lonely and isolated? I am a people person and that will just about kill me. I love making friends, cooking and entertaining friends at home. I am not a novice about living abroad but most of my experience is in Europe. I heard the Turkish people are very welcoming but language is going to be an impediment. Any useful tips on how to navigate this new life that I plan to embark on would be highly appreciated.
