We are a couple planning to start living a good part of a year in Turkey. We bought a flat and will be furnishing it with the start of the year.
We wonder if we ca bring our own stuff from home country to Turkey, instead of purchasing things there. Not to go waste your time with details, but we have surplus items and a van :D
Namely, we are talking about washing machine and fridge, possibly a few other smaller items (mixer, tv...).
Has anyone had this experience and if you know how it works for Turkey.
Some 20 years ago, when I was moving from aboard back home, I had to present a document from the police of my local district, where I had lived, showing those were my personal belongings and had no issues with customs and stuff (it was dishes, microwave, dishwasher and tv).
