Family moving to Uganda: children (last one for now:)

Hi,

I am hoping to move to Kampala in September with my wife and two young sons (1&4). I have lots of questions, but thought I would split them up so they aren't too overwhelming.

1) how much do nannies cost? are there agencies? (does anyone use them?) how does one ensure suitability of a nanny?

2) I looked at some of the private schools, these seem expensive and I think my children would be a little young anyway. What other venues are there for kids to get together?

3) Are there any particular kids health issues I should be aware of?

4) Are there any particular activities that kids do a lot?

5) Is there much opportunity for kids to meet non-expat children?

Thanks again (finally for a while) for addressing our concerns, I am really looking forward to our stay in Uganda.
