Propane

Question for you guys in country. My girlfriend lives in Vilkovo, a small fishing village outside Odessa. Their power goes out consistently and I was wondering about alternative heat/power alternatives. A generator is the most obvious and I will get her one when I come visit next month. My question is about propane. Do they sell it there like in the U.S.? Small green bottles or larger cylinders? I was thinking of bringing a propane stove and heater with me as backup to the generator.
