Driving to Ukraine

Am about to move to Ukraine later this year, because of the cost of getting a company to move my stuff I want to drive there myself.
what do I need to be weary of at the boarder, my car is about 10 years old, have heard that they an tax you on it, but I get conflicting answers, has anyone driven there with a foreign registered car?
