What to Bring

I am moving to Abu Dhabi towards the end of this month and have been told by people not to bring many cloths as it is very inexpensive to have them made over there. I was just wondering how much it would cost have a dress or a skirt made. Is it just as inexpensive to buy cloths over in Abu Dhabi as it is to have them made there? I was also wondering if anyone has any tips on what to bring with me, things that I cannot get in Abu Dhabi, or things that are cost more over there. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
