I read your posts about shipping household goods and car in a container to UAE. The price you mentioned ($2500) sounds really good. We are moving to Abu Dhabi in November and we have an allowance for less than US$3000. I asked a couple of shipping companies but they want to do the packing for us as well and the quote for a 40ft container with one car inside was like $8000. Well we have not done anything like this before and would like to ask for your experience. How did you find your company? (I checked and the one you used does not operate here in NJ) We want to get a 40ft container, half for stuff and half for a car, and we want to pack our own boxes. In such case do we have to have separate movers to move the boxes and furniture and pack the container? If so any special requirements? How about loading the car? Do we need to get a professional to do it, or would the moving company load the car for us? Just anything you could tell us, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
