Hello,
I would like to know if a total compensation package of around 32K per month is sufficient to live decently in Abu Dhabi to cover housing, schooling and living expenses (food, utilities, clothes, etc). I have made some research and heard horror stories and good stories and I am at a point where I need 'live' help from people who are over there already... I would be moving to AD with 2 children and a retired husband. Oh, and a small dog. One of my children will be homeschooled so I only have to worry about schooling for one of them.
I want to be able to live confortably but I am not expecting to live the total expat life. We need a 3-bedroom apartment (does not need to be new), a decent car (I drive a 1993 volvo at the moment so you can see where my priorities lie...) and to be able to go out once in a while. Any help will be appreciated as I have a friend who is starting make me think we are making a big mistake and are heading for trouble...
