Is AED 24,000/monthly good money in Dubai?

My husband is offered a position in engineering/construction in Dubai.
His package includes a AED 24,000 monthly.
Can this be considered good money and can we save from it once we pay for living - we are a family of 4, my husband myself and two kids one is 4 years old and another one is 1 year.
Would appreciate any information on the above.
Actually we live in Toronto and we may move in Dubai in summer of this year.
