I have been offered a teaching position in Al Ain. The package 'seems' reasonable and standard (eg accommodation provided, annual airfares, gratuity and schooling for children (this is not required as our children are now attending university).
However, I am receiving contradictory information about the purchasing power of the remuneration offered. This is 11,800 dirham per month. Upon completion of the contract (two years and renewable), the gratuity is 21 days for each year completed.
Is this standard for a curriclum management position in an international school in the UAE? Is the remuneration sufficient? I understand that living in Al Ain is significantly less expensive than Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Thanks for any advice.
