Socialising / group activities in Dubai

Hello,
I arrived in Dubai 3 weeks ago and I will stay here apprx. 4 or 6 months (for work).
I am from Switzerland/Zurich but German nationality (31 years, female) and normally interested in the outdoors but I guess it's a bit hot here at the moment.

I am looking for any expat groups that I could join or basically for people to socialize and do stuff with.

If you have any info, I will be greatful to receive your input.
