I'm a 25 year old American with a BS in Business Management. I've spent the last 4 years working within the IT organization of a very large (fortune 100) US based company. My work has been focused in business strategy and project management within the scope of IT. In other words, I haven't really been doing any hands-on technical work, like programming or administering networks.
What I do have experience in is managing high dollar contracts and agreements with IT suppliers and identifying the needs of our business and translating said needs into deliverable IT solutions. I also have done some entrepreneurial side work with heavy technology/software undertones.
My question is; are there opportunities for someone like me in Dubai or Abu Dhabi? By all accounts it seems like a great place to live and work, and I'm very interested in spending some time working outside of America. I'm just not sure if my skill-set is something that is in demand in the middle-eastern market.
If you think I'd be able to find and explore opportunities in the UAE, would anyone mind pointing me to a few websites that are safe/reliable to work with? I've found a few, but am not sure of their authenticity. Also, I'd love to find a site that recruits for jobs based on my particular work-related experiences. Any advice or help you can provide on this will be eternally appreciated!
