Real Estate Licensing in Dubai

I am an American Agent moving to Dubai in January 2008 and am having an terrible time finding out any data on what it takes to sell Real Estate there. I am moving there with my partner who has a company in Dubai and does a lot of business in Abu Dhabi. He currently has a Villa in Dubai but we are considering moving to Abu Dhabi depending on which location provides me more opportunities for employment. I am also an experienced hair dresser and bartender. I will be arriving on Monday October 8th and will be staying 3 weeks and am hoping to get on a few interviews during that time. Any advice, networking, friendships etc that you can give us would be wonderful.
