Hey all,
I'm an MBA / Finance guy starting to look for opportunities in Dubai. I've heard so much about the region and how they are looking to become a finance center equal to that of London or New York, that I decided it would be worth checking into what finance-related opportunities might exist. My experience is more equity market related, but I have education in other areas as well.
My question is where should I start? I've been poking around the American websites of certain multi-national financial service firms to check for Dubai opportunities, but that doesn't seem very effective. Is there a website or executive search firm that would be more "on the inside" and better suited for me to explore as many opportunities as possible? I've also checked the DIFC site and also poked around the Dubai International Capital website, and plan on applying here in the next few weeks.
Also, as a follow up question, is being an American viewed negatively in Dubai? I haven't heard anything specific, but we're not exactly making many friends internationally as a country right now.
