Codeine Medicine Illegal ?

Hi,
I am moving to Dubai in a few weeks, and have read that any medicine that has codeine in it is illegal?

Is this correct - should I not bring in any with me?

I have a stock of certain medicines which I am bringing with me, and if I possibly get in trouble, I will not bother and buy an equivalent when/if needed in Dubai.
