young career / mum conisdering move to dubai

moved to brisbane australia from new zealand for bigger opportunities, have met someone i could really spend my whole life with and he is returning home to dubai in 6 months to a years time, am considering the move , i have a 4 year old also that would be coming - i am hungry for all knowledge of dubai and moving experiences - i work in project management and feel picking up work would be easy, its more general living and schooling id like to know about - any help would be fantastic, id also love to make friends over there :)
