Can I bring my medication to the UAE - they are a controlled substance...

Hi! I really need help with this question as no one seems to have an answer. I take medication for anxiety. IT IS A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. I can't just stop taking it - it's dangerous to do so. I don't want to go through w this (teaching in the Middle East) and have them taken away OR be jailed for 4 years. Thank you for your help!
