British expat looking to move to Dubai

Hi all,

Can anyone advise me on how easy it is to get a working visa for Dubai?

My friends is applying for lots of hotel jobs and she tells me that the employer will sort out all visa details I'm not sure how true this is. Surely the hotels will employ local to save hassle. I have been to Dubai many times and the hotel staff are of great standard so I don't know what an expat could bring.

I live in the philipines and the amount of paperwork we had to do for our working visas was phenomenal!!
