AMERICANS DESPERATELY TRYING TO MOVE TO ENGLAND!!!!

HELP!!!!! My husband and I are desperately trying to relocate to England! We have searched high and low for jobs and have come up empty handed each time. Some people have told us that we should just pack our bags and move, worrying about the work permits when we have gotten to England. Others have stated that we should absolutely not make the move until we have obtained positions and work permits. Does anybody know of a recruiting company that helps Americans find jobs and help obtain work permits in England?

I have a BA with a major in Geography and an emphasis in cultural and urban studies. I am currently working in the insurance business. My husband has his BA with a major in Political Science and a MA is Political Science and International Relations. He has been working as a manual draftsman/project manager with a general contractor and two interior designers.
