Moving to the UK -- but where?

Hello everyone.

I am in the beginning stages of planning a permanent move to the UK. I've moved across the States before (New York to Texas) but never abroad. I honestly have no idea where to start. A few things I'm wondering about are: how do I find a place to stay? which city do I go to? how do I find work?

All common and basic questions, I suppose.

I should add that I was raised in the States but was born in Greece, therefore I can thankfully enter the UK as a citizen of the EU, elminating miles of red tape.

If anyone has any advice for me, no matter how specific or general, it would be greatly appreciated. If it helps any, my main goal is to immediately return to college once I am settled; my main concern, aside from finding a place to stay, is procuring employment. How difficult is it to simply find any job once moving to the UK? I have no certified skills or an impressive resume (CV, that is). Is this truly a daunting hindrance or a minor setback?

I am not married and do not have children -- which is good -- but I am, indeed, doing this completely alone -- which is scary. : )
