General advice for relocating to London

Hi,

My wife and I are considering relocating from The States to London.

I am American, and my wife is French.

My first concern is location. Can anyone tell me about the different neigborhoods. Where is the closest to London, but still reasonably priced ?

We have two children, so we couldn't be too cramped.

We realize that it is very expensive so we would not expect to live in any of the high price areas, but we are City people.

Thank you for any advice.
