New member seeking info on work permits

Hello everyone,

My name is Andrea and I've been teaching English in Germany for the past three years. I'm at present visiting my parents in California but am trying to relocate to London. I've seen offers for supply teachers. Does anyone have advice on how long work permits take? Or is anyone in this forum a supply teacher?

I have a masters in English Lit and about five years' experience teaching. I've also lived in London before, but as a student on exchange.

Another area is social network. How does one best get one started in London? Any tips?
