Moving to the USA

Hi everybody. My name is Mike and I am 46 years of age.A bit like Bill, I too am fed up with the UK. Everybody seems to be too stressed out to be polite, everything is in a mess, there are people being murdered simply because they dared to speak out against thugs and the Police don't seem to care. Oh, and the weather really is awful.
I was out in Florida recently on holiday (or should that be vacation).
Everybody seemed positive and friendly. There was optimisim all around. I loved it.
Anybody got any useful advice on moving there? I am a part-qualified accountant with years of experience in Finance. Married with one 9-year-old child.
