Moving to UK from Singapore

Hello.

I have a few enquires in mind that I wanted to check out.

A friend of mine is going to UK to help out his uncle to looks after his souvinir stalls in London. He will be staying with his uncle and food, lodgings & some salary will be provided for him for hleping out. My friend wants me to tag along. While working there, we are hoping to look out for some jobs that will suit us.

My friend is in the retail industry with 4 years of experience & hopes to become a retail manager. I've about 4 years experience in Graphics & Web Designing. I do have the necessary skills, good design portfolio & qualifications to get a job in my field. Will 6 months be enough time for us to get a proper job in UK? Are computer related/graphics design jobs in demand in UK? Is it possible to get a work permit from a visitors' pass to UK?

I'm applying for jobs in UK through UK jobs sites but I have not gotten any response.
