Moving from Los Angeles to UK on my own

I grew up in Los Angeles and really want to live in a different city. I am 26 and currently working LA, but we have an office outside of London, in Ealing and I am planning to transfer there. I am transferring on my own and want to also try and take some classes part time.

Can you give me some advice on:
1. the Ealing area,
2. good places to live that are not too far from my office,
3. art schools and
4. . general universities nearby,
5. change in cost of living,
6. needed salary to get by
7. average monthly rent
8. what i should bring when I move
