London or NYC

I have been offered a relocation by my current company to either London or NYC. The job is the same.

It is not an expat package - ie no cushy housing allowances etc. The pay is $125,000 USD in NYC or 90,000 pounds in London.

From a financial and tax point of view, are these pretty much equivalent?
